C-TRAN is now in construction on its third bus rapid transit line, known as The Vine on Highway 99 (Purple Line), which will serve Clark County's Highway 99 and Main Street corridors. Bus rapid transit, or BRT, uses various features to move passengers more efficiently and reliably. Those features include larger buses, transit signal priority, seamless fare payments, and level boarding platforms.

In March 2023, the C-TRAN Board of Directors approved the Locally Preferred Alternative for The Vine on Highway 99. It includes a 9-mile corridor stretching from the Vancouver Waterfront to Salmon Creek, providing direct service to both WSU Vancouver and the Salmon Creek Park & Ride.
